Content Days and Content Batching in Melbourne

Content days mean stacking your studio hours back to back so you can film everything in one go, with a bulk discount when you pay ahead for 3 or more sessions. Agencies bring their clients in one after another, and business owners batch a month of social media content in one visit. At our Yarraville studio every piece gets the same three cameras, light and sound, and the reel packages turn each session into vertical reels with captions.
One session, two ways to use it
Most businesses know they should post video regularly. The hard part is doing it every week: finding a quiet room, setting up a phone, fixing the light and losing an afternoon to something that should take minutes. Batching flips that. You plan once, record once and post for weeks.
This page covers two kinds of people doing the same thing. Agencies, coaches and consultancies bring their clients in one after another. Business owners and founders come in on their own and leave with a month of content. The session is the same; only the guest list changes.
For agencies, coaches and consultancies
If you run an agency, your clients need quality content, and driving to each office is the slow way. Keir spent years in advertising agencies before he built the studio, and he knows how office shoots go: a new room to light at every stop, a glass meeting room that echoes, an air-con hum, a window behind the CEO.
A content day turns that around. Your clients come to you, one after another, and the setup is done once, before the first person arrives. Every client gets the same three camera angles, the same lighting and the same sound, so the work looks like part of one standard. Each session includes an operator, if you'd like one, so your team can brief, direct and look after each client while the technical side is handled.

For business owners: a month of content
Batching means recording weeks of social media content in one sitting instead of filming something every day. Come in with a list of the questions your customers ask, the mistakes you see, quick tips and your view on what's changing in your industry. Each becomes a short, clean answer.
The two reel packages are built for this: Studio Hire + 5 reels turns your session into 5 vertical reels with captions, and Studio Hire + 11 reels into 11, alongside the full-length recording. That's different from simply buying reels from a podcast: here you plan the session around the clips you want, so every answer is made to stand alone.
Plan topics, not scripts
Before you arrive, sketch the next four weeks: which days you post and what each post is. A tip on Monday, a myth on Wednesday, a behind-the-scenes answer on Friday. Then batch to fill it. Most people record better with a few clear points than a word-for-word script. Say the most interesting thing first, pause between answers, and each one can stand on its own.
For agencies, give each client three to five questions they can answer well, and send them a one-page brief: what to wear, where to park and what they'll be asked.

Same set, different looks
Nobody wants a month of posts that all look like they were recorded on the same day, even when they were. Change the look between topics or between clients with black or white curtains, LED colour washes, and the couch or two armchairs. Bring a second top or jacket and use the vanity mirror and changing room halfway through.

Keep the session moving
Guests can arrive up to 20 minutes before their session. The waiting room is a comfortable, relaxed place for you or any guests to wait as they prepare or switch in and out. There's also an outdoor courtyard for meeting people before they record. Up to 4 to 5 people fit on set, so a client can bring a colleague. See guest waiting.
Free all-day parking means nobody watches the clock, and the load-in bay helps if you're bringing gear or products. The studio is about a 10-minute drive to the Melbourne CBD. See getting here.
Booking a content day
Book as many one-hour sessions as you need, back to back. Paying ahead for 3 or more sessions gets the Bundle price, and prepaid sessions are valid for six months from the date of payment, so you can also spread sessions across a quarter. Every session gives you a full-length recording; long-form editing is quoted separately. See the three session options and current prices on our pricing page.
Open 9 AM to 6 PM, seven days. Outside those hours? Sessions are available by arrangement.
Frequently asked questions
What is content batching?
Recording a lot of content in one sitting so it can be posted over the following weeks, instead of creating something new every day.
What happens between clients on a content day?
The set, lights and cameras stay ready, so the next client sits down and records. They wait in the waiting room while another records, and a change of curtains or LED colour wash gives each client a different look.
Do I get a discount for booking hours back to back?
Yes, when you pay ahead for 3 or more one-hour sessions: 5% off every session for 3 to 5 sessions, 7% for 6 to 8, 10% for 9 to 11 and 12% for 12 or more. You can book those sessions back to back to film everything in one go.
How should each client prepare for a content day?
Give each client three to five questions they can answer well, and suggest a second top or jacket for a change of look. Bring any products to show through the load-in bay, and there's free all-day parking.
